I made this piece for the days when your joints remind you they've been working — the feather is hand-engraved, each barb traced one at a time with a tool I've had for thirty years.

Copper has been worn against the skin for thousands of years by people who needed their joints to keep up with their lives, and the ones who come back to me always say the same thing: they stopped noticing what they used to notice in their wrists.

This is one of the last bracelets I'll make before I close my workshop for good. I hope it finds the wrist that needs it most.

Pure copper isn't magnetic. Most of the copper jewelry sold online is either plated (a thin copper coating over a cheaper metal like steel or brass) or alloyed with enough iron or nickel to make it feel magnetic — that's the quickest way to spot a fake.

The test is simple:

1. Grab any fridge magnet
2. Hold it against your cuff, ring, or necklace
3. If it sticks — even slightly — it isn't pure copper
4. If it doesn't stick, you're holding the real thing

Every piece I make is 99.9% pure copper — never plated, never alloyed with cheap metals. Run the test on yours the day it arrives. If it ever fails, I'll refund you immediately.

Yes. Our pieces are made from solid copper rather than a thin copper coating over another metal. Some designs have small magnets set into the ends; when they do, it is mentioned on the product page.

It can. When copper meets moisture and the natural oils of your skin, it sometimes leaves a light green mark. It is harmless and washes off with soap and water. Keeping the piece dry and polishing it now and then makes it less likely.

Copper jewelry has been worn for thousands of years and many people enjoy it as part of their daily routine. Scientific studies have not confirmed medical benefits from wearing copper, so we do not make health claims. We make jewelry to be loved for how it looks and feels.

You can. Water will not damage solid copper, but salt water and chlorine speed up the natural darkening of the metal. Rinse with fresh water and dry the piece afterwards if you want to keep it bright.

Most of our cuffs and rings are adjustable. Gently squeeze the piece to tighten it or open it slightly to loosen it. Adjust it once to your size rather than bending it back and forth every day.
